The Ottawa Police Service’s Collisions Investigations Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in a hit and run.

On Dec 31st 2020, at approximately 10:00 pm, a pedestrian was struck in a hit and run. The police are seeking the public’s help for any information about the incident.

Person of interest to be identified in an attempted abduction

The Ottawa Police Service’s Central Criminal Investigations Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an attempted abduction.

On the 4th of November 2020, an attempted abduction took place in a parking garage in the 200 block of Laurier Ave. The victim attended the garage at approximately 0715 hrs and was attacked by 3-4 males, dressed all in black, wearing face coverings.  The suspect vehicle was parked for some time in the garage leading up to the incident.  The suspect males tried to get the victim into a black vehicle.  The suspect vehicle left the garage around 0720 hrs.

Suspects sought in aggravated assault in Kanata/ Des suspects recherchés pour voies de fait graves à Kanata

The Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying 3 suspects who were involved in an aggravated assault.

On Saturday, September 12, 2020 at approximately 2145 hrs, a group of males were playing basketball on the lighted courts behind Bridlewood ES in Kanata South. A black 4 door sedan arrived with a female was driver and when it parked, 2 males exited the vehicle and approached the group of males playing basketball. Words were exchanged and a physical fight ensued leading to one of the males who arrived by car, assaulting one the group of males playing ball with a weapon leaving significant and lifelong scar. La Police d’Ottawa unité des enquêtes criminelles de la division Ouest solicite l’aide de la population en vue d’identifier trois suspects dans un voie de fait grave.
Le samedi 12 septembre 2020, vers 21 h 45, un groupe d’hommes jouait au basket-ball sur les courts éclairés derrière Bridlewood ES à Kanata Sud. Une berline 4 portes noire est arrivée avec une femme qui était conductrice et lorsqu’elle s’est garée, 2 hommes sont sortis du véhicule et se sont approchés du groupe d’hommes jouant au basket-ball. Des mots ont été échangés et une bagarre physique s’est ensuivie menant à l’un des hommes qui est arrivé en voiture, agressant l’un des hommes jouant au ballon avec une arme laissant une cicatrice permanente. Suspects to be identified in a Break and Enter on Riverside Dr.

The Ottawa Police Service East Break and Enter Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a residential break and enter.

On the 4th of July 2020, the two suspects (pictured below) committed a break and enter in the secure underground parking garage of 1500 block of Riverside Dr. Please see pictures below, provided by investigators.

Two suspects to be identified in a Assault on Terry Fox Dr

The West Criminal Investigations Unit and Crime Stoppers is requesting the public’s assistance to identify two male suspects in relation to an Assault with a weapon/pointing a firearm in the Kanata area on Canada Day.

On July 1, 2020, at approximately 11:40pm, two males in a purple minivan had a dispute with a pedestrian in the 400 block of Terry Fox Drive.  The victim was assaulted and had a firearm pointed at him.

The first suspect was described as a Caucasian male with short brown hair and goatee. He was wearing a red t-shirt with a black ski mask logo on the front. (see photos)

The second suspect was described as a Caucasian male with brown hair. He was wearing reading glasses, a black baseball cap with small white symbol in front, a white t-shirt with red writing in front, grey jeans and white runners. (see photo of this suspect and vehicle).

They were both captured by a nearby surveillance camera operating the minivan.

Assault cause bodily harm and assault with a weapon.

The Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations Section and Crime Stoppers is asking for public assistance to identify the suspects involved in an Assault with a weapon.

On Monday June 8th 2020, approximately 1330hrs, near Beavertail Rd and Richardson Side Rd, a 60 year old male was assaulted, unprovoked, by three unknown youths who were driving an older model Beige/brown Toyota. The youths attacked the victim knocking him to the ground and continued to beat him until they were scared off by a passerby. The assault resulted in the victim being hospitalized for minor injuries.

Suspect wanted in Sexual assault

The  Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a sexual assault and indecent act.

On April 29, 2020 at around 630pm in the area of Meadowlands Dr/Fisher Ave, the male suspect committed a Sexual assault on a victim and then exposed his genitals and began masturbating.

Suspect is described as a black male, late teens/ early 20’s, 6ft with curly hair.  Please see the photo provided by investigators.

The Guns and Gangs Unit is asking for the public’s assistance to locate a man wanted in relation to a shooting that occurred on Robertson Road near Moodie drive, on March 15th, 2020.

Dwayne GOODMAN, 25 year old, of Ottawa is wanted for the following offences:

•       Careless Use of Firearm
•       Possess Weapon Dangerous to public
•       Discharge Firearm with Intent
•       Discharge Firearm into a place
•       Occupy Motor Vehicle with a Firearm

Assault with a weapon suspect to identify

The Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations Section is asking for public assistance to identify the suspect involved in an Assault with a weapon that occurred yesterday in the 900 block of Morrison Drive.

On March 24, at approx. 2:10pm, frontline police responded to a call for service at a residence where a woman in her 30s had just been assaulted. The victim, who answered her door, was immediately assaulted by an unknown male who was wearing a blue surgical mask and white latex gloves. She suffered minor injuries.

Investigators are looking to identify the male suspect who has been described as a French-speaking Middle Eastern male, approx. 20 years of age, 5’8” (173 cm), 173 lbs (78 kg) with a thin build, wearing a dark jacket and dark pants (see photos).

Suspect sought in multiple thefts in the city’s south end.

Since November 2019, the male is a suspect in many thefts. These thefts mostly occurred in the south end of the city. Please see the photo below provided by investigators.
