Suspect sought in theft of gas
The Ottawa Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in theft of over $500 in gas.
On Monday, December 30th, 2019 a male suspect driving a Silver GMC Sierra, attended a gas station in the City of Ottawa using a stolen front license plate and while concealing the back license plate with snow. The male pumped over $500 worth of gas into his truck and into two large barrels in the truck bed.
The suspect was described as a male, approximately 50-60 years old, wearing orange and fluorescent yellow overalls, green jacket, and an orange hoodie. He was wearing a baseball hat and possibly glasses. Please see photos below provided by investigators.
