Suspect to be identified in mischief to a vehicle

UPDATE: SUSPECT IDENTIFIED

 

The Ottawa Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in damaging a vehicle.

On Tuesday, January 19th, 2020, at approximately 3:04PM in the parking lot located in the 1600 block of Merivale rd, an unknown suspect parked beside the victim’s vehicle and caused over an estimated $1600 worth of damage to the vehicle using a screw driver type object.

The suspect is described as a male in his 60’s, curly medium length salt and pepper coloured hair, wearing a Grey/Blue/Black wind breaker type jacket with zipper, black “Richcraft” ball cap, black pants. The suspect was driving what is suspected to be an early 2000 model GMC Jimmy. Please see pictures below provided by investigators.
