Suspect to be identified in a theft


The Ottawa Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a distraction theft.

On the 1st of August 2019, at approximately 9:30 am, the suspect, working with an accomplice, stole the victim’s personal bag containing their phone, money and other personal items. The accomplice distracted the people at the table while the suspect took the bag. They then fled in a vehicle. The incident occurred at a hotel in the 100 block of Thad Johnson Priv.
