Information needed in an arson


The Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in information regarding an arson that took place causing extensive property damage and endangering resident’s lives.

On the 17th of November 2017, at approximately 4:00 am, residents of a dwelling located in the 100 block of Russell Ave discovered a fire on the front porch. The suspect or suspects had placed a mattress on the front porch and set it on fire. Extensive damage was caused to the outside and inside of the house and resident’s lives were put in danger. Thankfully all residents escaped without injury.
