ARRESTED Suspect sought in gas station robbery on Rideau
The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit and CRIME STOPPERS is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect responsible
in a recent gas station robbery.
On October 14, 2017, at approximately 7:00 pm, a lone male suspect entered a gas station situated along the 200 block of Rideau Street. The suspect advised the employee he had a knife. The suspect held one hand in his pocket. The suspect then made a demand for money. A brief struggle occurred before the suspect grabbed an undisclosed quantity of cash and fled the premises. The victim received minor injuries that did not require additional medical attention.
The suspect is male, with a darker complexion, approximately 35-40 years, approximately 6’ (183 cm), well kept, dark brown faux-hawk style hair, short goatee, right handed, English speaking with a slight accent. The suspect may have a tattoo on the right neck, below the ear, and also one on the left upper chest area (view pictures.)
