Suspects to be ID in theft and assault on Baseline Rd

UPDATE: Suspects have been identified.

Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations Unit and Crime Stoppers are looking to identify an unknown male and female suspect involved in a theft and assault.

On the 7th July 2017, the suspects entered at a business located in the 1900 block of Baseline Rd, where they concealed multiple items in bags they had with them, and then left the premises without paying. Once confronted outside, the unidentified female assaulted the employee. They both fled the scene.

Male suspect is described as wearing a black hat, backpack, T-shirt and pants.

Female suspect is described as wearing all black clothing, with reddish brown hair.

Both were wearing Joker T-shirts with “Why So Serious” on it.
