Suspect sought in robbery at ATM


The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit and Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect responsible for a recent personal robbery that occurred at an ATM

On May 20, 2017, at approximately 7:35 pm, a lone male suspect accosted a female victim inside the ATM vestibule of a bank situated along the 1900 block of Robertson Road. The suspect produced a large kitchen knife and demanded cash that had just been withdrawn by the victim. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash. The victim was uninjured.

The suspect is described as Caucasian male, approximately 5’8″-5’10″(173 – 178 cm), average build, short brown hair, almost in a brush cut. At the time he was wearing dark shorts, grey sneakers or deck shoes with white soles, a grey hooded jacket, white sunglasses, and a grey patterned baseball cap with a logo on front (images attached.)
