Suspect sought pharmacy robbery on Bank Street


The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating the recent robbery at a drug store and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect responsible.

On May 16, 2017, at approximately 7:10 pm, a lone suspect entered a drug store situated along the 100 block of Bank Street. The suspect lined up at a cashier multiple times, exited, and returned to the line. The final time, the suspect reached the cashier and produced a note making a demand for money. The suspect indicated he was armed though no weapon was seen. The suspect fled the premises with an undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as male, with a darker complexion, approximately 5’1″(155 cm), stocky build, black hair. He was wearing sunglasses, a grey button-up short sleeve shirt, beige pants, and dress shoes.
