(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a recent convenience store robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect responsible.
On April 12, 2017, at approximately 4:20 am, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 100 block of Castlefrank Road. The suspect, disguised, made a demand for cash suggested he was armed, though no weapon was seen. The suspect obtained a small amount of cash and then demanded cigarettes. The suspect fled with a quantity of both cash and cigarettes. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a black male, 18-25 years, approximately 5’10″(178 cm), slim build, wearing a ski mask, wearing a grey/black hooded jacket, and brown gloves
