Searching for black Acura that hit Ottawa Police officer and fled

POLICE NO LONGER SEARCHING FOR THE VEHICLE.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is searching for a vehicle that struck a traffic officer at Heron Road and Prince of Wales Drive at approximately 8:55 a.m. this morning as the officer was attempting to pull over the vehicle.

We are looking for a four-door black Acura (TL or TSX, unknown year) with a smashed out passenger window. There was a loan male driver.

Pictures of motor vehicles attached with this news release are just examples and may not be the year/model of the suspect motor vehicle involved.

The officer has been transported to hospital for treatment as a precaution.
