Suspect sought using stolen debit card
UPDATE: Suspect arrested.
The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect for making fraudulent purchases on a stolen debit card.
On the 10th of September 2017, the victim reported that they had their belongings stolen from a locker in the 100 block of Argyle Ave in Ottawa. When they called the bank to report their bank card stolen, the bank informed them there had been several purchases made on the card. The suspect entered different stores in the downtown area and used the stolen debit card to make “tap” purchases.
