Suspect sought in identity fraud
The Ottawa Police Service Organized Fraud Unit and Crime Stoppers are looking to identify a female suspect involved in identity fraud.
OTTAWA:On November 28th 2016 a fraudulent email was received from what was believed to be Scotiabank. There was a link that resembled a Scotiabank webpage where it asked for personal information. The victim’s identity was used by an unknown female suspect at a financial institution on Hazeldean Road and another one on Eagleson Road. The suspect was able to acquire just under 10,000.00.
Suspect described as white female. Early 20’s. English speaking. long blonde hair wearing a black winter coat blue jeans wearing ” hunter” style rubber boots. Please refer to the photos below provided by the investigator.
