The Ottawa Police Collision Investigation Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with a hit and run that occurred on Sunday November 24th 2013 at approximately 5:00pm.
A pedestrian was struck by a pick up truck near the intersection of Bank St and Daze Street in Ottawa’s south end.
The unidentified driver stopped his vehicle but fled the scene while witnesses renedered assistance to the injured pedestrian. Investigators are attempting to locate the driver of a newer model GMC Sierra crew cab truck involved in the hit and run. Please view the attached photo of a truck (stock photo) similar to the one described by witnesses at the incident. Note the G.I.S logo (sticker) that is located on the driver’s side window. This photo was obtained from a nearby security camera.
Desc: Caucasian male, approximately 6’2” tall, thin build, short dark hair, English speaking.
Veh: newer model dark colored GMC Sierra crew cab truck with a G.I.S sticker (or similiar) on the side window.
