Ottawa: Quick Change Scam at Local Grocery Store

On Wednesday February 12th 2014 at approximately 6:30pm an unknown male entered a grocery store located in the 6000 block of Hazeldean Rd and engaged the cashier in a quick change scam.

The suspect purchased and paid for a low priced item then asked to exchange a large denomination bill for smaller ones. Through a series of exchanges that resulted in short changing the cashier. It was noted by a witness the male did a “happy dance” once he had exited the store.
