Ottawa Robbery of jewelry store- OPS 12-219281

The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect.

On July 26, 2012, at approximately 2:00 pm, a lone male entered a jewelry store situated along the 1900 block of St. Laurent Boulevard. The male initially posed as an interested customer but then suddenly made a more violent demand for jewelry.  The suspect smashed a jewelry display case but ultimately fled the store empty handed.  The suspect fled to a waiting vehicle with one or two other occupants.  The waiting vehicle was possibly a silver Honda Civic.

The suspect is described as being a black male, larger build, 6’1″(1,85 m), 22-25yrs, dark hair, clean shaven, wearing a grey hoodie. (see attached image)
