Theft and resist arrest OPS# 10-59399

Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your help in identifying a suspect involved in a theft.

On March 3rd,2010, at 8:15 pm a man attended a grocery store on Bank Street, Ottawa. He selected a number of items which he concealed in his clothing before leaving the store without paying. Once outside he was approached by security who tried to arrest him. The suspect fled and a foot chase ensued. The security guard caught him a block away. The suspect resisted arrest and fled again, leaving behind his backpack, jacket, and the stolen items.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20yrs-30yrs, 5’8″-5’10″, slim to average build, clean-shaven, dark collar-length hair wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt with CANADA written on the front, jeans, and a dark ball cap with a white logo at the front.
