Crime Stoppers and the Gatineau Police Service are seeking your help in solving an incident of shoplifting and of pointing of a firearm.


During the evening of the 27 of February 2009 at 6:30 PM, a male suspect attended one of the stores in the Promenades de l'Outaouais shopping mall located at 1100 Maloney Blv West. The suspect shoplifted and he ran out of the mall. Two loss prevention officers saw this and they began to pursue the suspect. They caught up to him near the Casa Grecque Restaurant on Bellehumeur Street. The suspect then drew a handgun and pointed it at the loss prevention officers. After warning the officers not to pursue him anymore the suspect left the area heading southbound on Bellehumeur.

The suspect is described as an 18 year-old Latino male, wearing a blue ball cap and coat.

Crime Stoppers and the Gatineau Police Service are seeking your assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in an indecent exposure and an attempted robbery.

On the 19 February 2009 at 11:30 PM, a female employee of the Buckingham Hospital located at 150 Maclaren Street East, in Buckingham, parked her vehicle in the rear parking lot. As she exited her car a male suspect approached her and said: "look I have something for you". He then opened his coat and exposed himself. The suspect then grabbed the employee's purse and a struggle ensued. The employee began to scream and the suspect fled without the victim's purse.

The suspect is described as a white 50 year-old male, 5'5", 130 lbs, reddish beard, short black hair, dressed in dark clothing with a ball cap.

(ST-ISIDORE, ON.) - The Hawkesbury OPP Detachment is presently investigating an attempted Break and Entry that occurred at the Scotiabank located in St-Isidore on the evening of January 16, 2009.

A person entered the ATM entrance of the bank and drilled a hole in a door leading into the bank. It is possible that the suspect may have been surprised by someone or something and left the area. No entry to the bank was made.

The damage to the door was discovered by ATM technicians on the following day and police were called to investigate. Nothing was stolen.

Photos of the suspect were taken by the bank surveillance system. Police believe that the same individual(s) may have been responsible for other ATM thefts in the area during past several months.

THEFT IN CATHERINE STREET RESIDENCE


(Hawkesbury, ON) - On the 21st of March 2009 between 2:00 pm and 9:15 pm,a group of suspects broke into a Catherine Street residence that is located near Aberdeen Street in the Town of Hawkesbury.

The burglars entered the house by breaking the rear door and then proceeded inside where they stole an undisclosed amount of money.

The criminals are believed to have made their escape by exiting through the backyard.
