Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your assistance in solving a theft of an Automatic Teller Machine from a restaurant on Bank Street.

On the 13 of December 2008 at 5 AM a lone white male suspect drove to Ralph’s Bar located at 571 Bank Street in the City of Ottawa. He arrived in the vacant parking lot in a stolen van. A surveillance video shows the suspect backing up near the entrance door to the bar and exiting the van. He smashed the door’s glass with an axe and gained entry to the restaurant/bar. He then attached a chain around the ATM and the van’s rear bumper. The ATM was pulled outside where the suspect loaded the ATM into the van and drove away from the scene. The van and the ATM were recovered on Fenton Road, Ottawa. The ATM had been cut open and the money removed.

The suspect is described as a white male, slim build and of medium height.
