Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking the help of the public in solving a number of thefts that have occurred at the Ottawa Airport over the past couple of months.
Video films of the incidents show that the thefts are often accompanied by distractions of the victims before the thefts are committed. Thieves also take advantage of personal belongings that are being left unattended in various spots.
On 26 June 2008 at about 12:45pm the airport’s surveillance cameras captured two thieves in action. These two thieves were olive skinned, between 25 and 40 years old. One of them had dark wavy hair, a moustache and was of stocky build. He wore a grey suit with a dark buttoned up shirt. The second suspect had short dark brown hair, was clean-shaven and wore a dark jacket, black dress pants and a light blue dress shirt.
