Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police are seeking your help in identifying the suspect involved in a break-in at the Beer Store located in the Manotick Mews shopping area of Manotick.
Just after midnight on May 18, 2008 a suspect forced his way into the Beer Store, located in the Manotick Mews shopping district of Manotick, by throwing a trailer hitch through the window of the front door of the store. Cash registers were opened but no cash was taken because none had been left overnight. Some American currency was found to the side of the registers and the person who had entered the Store took only the charity change boxes presumably containing small Canadian currency.
When the alarm system relayed that an intruder had entered the Beer Store, a video system was activated showing the intruder committing his crime. As can be seen the suspect was a white bearded male, about 30-45 years of age, 6' tall and weighing approximately 185 lbs. His medium length hair was wavy brown in color and unkempt. The man wore a tan colored bomber jacket, dark blue/black pants and heavy-duty work gloves.
