The Ottawa Police Service has requested the assistance of Crime Stoppers to help seek the public’s assistance in solving a homicide.
On the 30th day of June 2007, after receiving a call from a family member, the Ottawa Police Service responded to 1510 Riverside Drive unit 1002. At that time, Judge Alban GARON, his wife Raymonde and next-door neighbor Marie Claire BENISKOS were found murdered in the Garon residence. Witnesses last spoke to or saw the victims on the morning of the 29th of June 2007.
As a result of the on-going investigation, police released in October 2007, a composite sketch of a person that the police wish to speak to. He is described as a white male in his early forties, approximately 5’8″, 180 lbs, short black hair with some grey, clean-shaven with a broad nose. He was wearing a white short sleeve shirt with vertical stripes and dark pants. If anyone has any information on the identity of this individual, the Ottawa Police or Crime Stoppers should be contacted immediately.

The police are seeking information regarding any observations of persons, behaviors, activities or vehicles that seemed unusual or suspicious at the Riviera Complex or in its vicinity in the days preceding the murders.
Mme Garon had mentioned to friends that she saw a male in the complex that represented himself as a delivery person. However there is no confirmed link between that incident and the homicides.
On the 24 of June 2008 the Ottawa Police Services Board and “The Late Alban Garon Reward Committee” offered a $100000 reward to any person who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the three homicides.
As for Crime Stoppers, if you have any information regarding this incident, or any other criminal activity, call us at 613-233-TIPS (613-233-8477) or toll free at 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display, we will not record your call and you will not be required to testify in court. If your information leads to an arrest or a charge, you could qualify for a cash reward of up to $2000.
