Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your help in identifying a bank robbery suspect.
On Thursday March 13, 2008 at about 5:30 PM, a lone black male entered the TD Canada Trust Bank located at 1800 Carling Ave. He went to the first available teller and gave her a folded note stating that he was robbing the bank. He told the teller to “go fast”. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the bank.
This same individual is suspected of robbing the TD Canada Trust branch located at 245 Stafford Rd, twenty minutes earlier. In both cases no weapon was seen.
The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras. He is described as a black male, 24 to 30 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches, 170 to 180 lbs, average build. He was wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, black baseball cap, sunglasses and gloves.
