Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police are seeking your assistance in identifying the suspects involved in a rash of graffiti taggings in the Bank Street area.
Over the last several weeks one or more graffiti taggers have been vandalizing numerous Bank Street businesses. Some of these taggings are done overnight while others are done in daylight. Numerous businesses, bus shelters, sidewalks, mailboxes have been targeted. Some of the tags resemble “BLUB” and “ELVIS”. If you recognize the author of the described tags, Crime Stoppers and the Bank Street Merchants Association are asking for your assistance. The merchant’s association spends thousands of dollars annually to remove these eyesores. A small tag on a brick wall can cost up to $500 to remove.
The Bank Street BIA is offering an additional reward of $1000 for information, which leads to the arrest, and conviction of these vandals.
If you have any information regarding this incident, or any other criminal activity, call Crime Stoppers at 233-TIPS, that’s 233-8477 or toll free at 1-800-222-8477.
Remember Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display, we will not record your call and you are not required to testify in court. If your information leads to an arrest or a charge, you could qualify for a cash reward of up to $2000.
