Robbery Petro Canada (Gatineau)

Crime Stoppers and the Gatineau Police Service are seeking your help in solving an armed robbery at a service station.
In the early hour of the 26 February 2008 at about 02:30 AM a male suspect attended the Petro Canada Service Station located at 744 St-Joseph Boulevard in the Hull sector of Gatineau. He walked up to the service counter and put 25 pennies on the counter and he asked the clerk for a quarter. The clerk opened the cash drawer and at that time the suspect jumped over the counter and attacked the clerk with a hammer, striking him on the shoulder. The suspect emptied the cash drawer and then he fled eastbound on St-Joseph Boulevard.
Police believe that this is the same individual who robbed the Du Verger Restaurant located at 277 St-Joseph Boulevard on the 10 March 2008 at 06:42 AM.
The suspect is described as a 35 to 40 year old white male, 5 feet 6 inches, 130 lbs, short blond hair, wearing blue mechanic’s overalls and a black toque.
