Theft of Snowmobile Traffic Signs

Theft of Snowmobile Traffic Signs

Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your help in identifying the person (s) responsible for a series of thefts in the South end of the city.
During the weekend of the 26 of January 2008, numerous snowmobile traffic signs were stolen in the Metcalfe, Greeley and Osgoode areas. The signs were posted on the trails administered by the Osgoode Carleton Snowmobile Club. The signs were for the most part stop signs, directional signs and warning signs. The removal of the signs presented a serious danger to the snowmobilers, as well as automobile drivers on the roads, which were intersected by these trails.
The Osgoode Carleton Snowmobile club is offering a supplemental reward of $1500 to the one offered by Crime Stoppers.
