The Gatineau Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking your assistance to solve a series of theft from vehicles in the Hull sector of Gatineau.
Since January 2008 many vehicles in the areas of Laurier and des Allumetières Boulevards have been targeted by what appears to be the same male suspect. He has been targeting parked cars along those streets and he has been gaining entry to them by smashing a door window. He may possibly be using a tool called a PUNCH. Once entry is gained, sports bags, cell phones, briefcases, etc have been stolen. These crimes have been committed mostly during daytime hours.
Police are attempting to identify a twenty-year-old white male suspect, 5 feet 8 inches, 170 lbs. He was wearing a blue-grey snow type winter jacket with a hood, skater blue jeans, white running shoes and a ball cap (see attached photo).
