This week the Gatineau Police Service has asked Crime Stoppers to assist them in solving an incident of a robbery on the bicycle path behind the Museum of Civilization.
On the November 13, 2007 at about 8 AM a lone male was ridding his bicycle to work on the bicycle path behind the Museum of Civilization in the Hull Sector. At that time a black male attacked the cyclist pushing him to the ground. This was followed with repeated punches and kicks to the victim. The suspect then stole the victim’s backpack and wallet. He fled the scene with the victim’s bicycle travelling towards Ottawa.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 200 lbs, wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. He was in possession of the vitim’s black back pack and his red 10 speed Raleigh bicycle.
