The Gatineau Police Service has requested that the Crime Stoppers Organization assist them in solving a crime where numerous rings were stolen.
On the 16 June 2007 at 3 PM a male suspect attended the jewellery store “ Le Chateau d’Or” located in the Aylmer Shopping Mall at 181 Principale Street. He asked the shopkeeper if he could view a tray of about 70 rings. At that time a female accomplice attended the jewellery store and joined the male suspect. The female suspect tried on several rings. The male suspect grabbed the tray and both suspects fled the store. The female left via the front entrance of the mall and the male suspect left by the rear exit doors.
Witnesses saw the suspects enter and flee in a small dark vehicle.
The suspects are described as:
1-White male, 30-35 years old, 5’5”, 150 lbs, brown curly hair, goatee, spoke English, wore a stripped white T-Shirt and blue jeans;
2-White female, 30 years old, 5’11”, 120 lbs, slim build, blond hair in a pony tail, white t-shirt with a white and brown stripe, blue jeans.
Both of these suspects were involved in another theft of jewellery on the 31 August 2007 at the Roméo Gourgue Jewellery Store located in the Promenades de l’Outaouais in Gatineau.
