The National Capital Area Crime Stoppers organization has launched a new Partners Program to help local businesses protect themselves against crime, while continuing to pay cash rewards for anonymous information that helps police solve crimes.


How effective has Crime Stoppers been?
The National Capital Region Crime Stoppers assisted in 4,181 arrests, 6,872 criminal charges, the recovery of $10,351,684.00 in stolen property, $42,336,246.00 in seized narcotics, $290,532.00 in arson/fraud cases and the recovery of 353 firearms. And it has paid out $693,245.00 in awards for the anonymous tips that helped solve these crimes since its inception in 1985.

What does partnership cost?

Annual partnership fees are $100 for small businesses and individuals and $250 for larger organizations. A “Founding Member” category has been established with a fee of $1,000 for the first year and $250 the following years.

Wanted for Sexual Assault

Suspect wanted for a sexual assault that occurred at Carleton University. If you know the identity of this suspect call Sgt James Davies at 613-236-1222 extension 5625 or if you wish to remain annonymous call Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477.

Robbery of a Senior

The Ottawa Police Service has requested that the Crime Stoppers’ Organization seek the public’s assistance in identifying the two suspects involved in a robbery that took place in the Glen Cairn United Church parking lot located on Abbeyhill Drive off Eagleson Road in Kanata.

At about 11pm on August 4th 2006 an elderly man was returning home from an evening walk near his home in Glen Cairn, Kanata. He was on his way home through the parking lot of the Glen Cairn United Church when two men approached him from behind and asked him the time. After indicating to the men that it was about 11pm he proceeded on his way. After taking a few steps he was tripped from behind and fell to the ground on his face. The two men proceeded to rifle through his pockets whilst he was immobilized on the ground. His Rolex Oyster watch complete with a stainless steel bracelet was removed and he was told not to report the incident to the police. Nothing else was stolen.

The two suspects were both white males in their twenties who spoke English. No distinguishing features were observed.

The victim received injuries to both his hands and face but was able to walk home without assistance.

Missing Person



Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking the assistance of the public in finding a young woman who has been missing since July 2007.

The young person is Pamela Pelletier who is 23 years old. She stands about 5'4" tall with a slim build and weighing about 115 lbs. She has long brown curly hair and green eyes and was reported missing from home on July 3, 2007. At the time she was wearing black slacks and t-shirt and white sneakers. Her last known address was on Somerset St W in Ottawa.

Ms Pelletier was last seen with Greg Fraser who is known to police. He is about 28 years old, stands about 5'8" tall and weighs about 190 lbs. He has brown hair and hazel colored eyes and he has a scar on his mouth.

The Ottawa Police Service has outstanding warrants for Fraser and members of the public should not approach him.

In the event that Pamela Pelletier or Greg Fraser are seen call 911 and the police shall be dispatched to investigate.

Police must ascertain if Miss Pelletier is under duress. She needs to meet with police investigators in person.
