The Ottawa Police Service and Crime Stoppers seek your assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a sexual assault that occurred recently in a bus shelter at the corner of Bayswater Ave and Somerset St West.
On April 6, 2007 at about 6:40am a young woman, about 32 years of age was waiting alone in the bus shelter at the corner of Bayswater Ave and Somerset St West when a young man of about 25 to 30 years of age arrived and began to start a conversation with her. He introduced himself as Michael and shook hands with her. He was very friendly toward the young lady but suddenly he moved toward her, touched her breast and said “Oh yah”. The victim threatened to call the police and the suspect then ran into the building at 52 Bayswater Ave. The suspect was later seen in the same building but has not yet been tracked down.
From a description of the suspect a composite image has been drawn by police officers. He is a white Caucasian male, aged 25 to 30 years, about 5’6″ tall and weighs about 150 lbs. He speaks English , has a medium build, short dark brown hair and no facial hair. He was neatly dressed and wore a black T shirt, blue jeans and white running shoes.
