Theft of Specialized Tools

The Gatineau Police Service have requested Crime Stoppers’ Organizations seek your assistance in identifying the suspects involved in the theft of various tools from a construction site on the future boulevard Des Allumetières.
During the night of March 13, 2007, suspects broke into a construction site located near to Montmartre and Rouleau streets in Gatineau. The thieves cut through the fence and then forced the locks on trailers and containers located on the site and owned by the M.D.I. Company. They brought in a truck of unknown make to carry off their loot.
Once inside the trailers and containers the thieves removed several heavy and costly tools using a wheelbarrow to transport them. Among the stolen equipment were drills, a generator, and grinders saws—all equipment that is used in steel structures. The truck with the stolen tools then left by the same route used to gain entry.
During the previous week i.e., 9-12 March another theft had been committed, likely by the same suspects. On this occasion the thieves stole 900ft of heavy-duty wire #4, 21/2 inches in diameter with three conducting wires. It is clear that the suspects must have used a truck to remove the stolen goods.
Security guards now patrol the property to ensure that no further such crimes occur.
