Assault with a Weapon

Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your assistance in identifying the two suspects that were responsible for a vicious attack on a young couple.
On Friday, January 26, 2007, at about 6:00pm in the evening, a young couple and their 4-year-old child arrived at their residence on Fox Hollow Crescent in the city’s south end. They parked their car in front of their residence and just as they were exiting the car they were attacked. Two suspects charged the male driver of the family car and struck him with an iron bar knocking him to the ground. The second suspect began to kick at the victim. The man’s spouse ran to his aid and was struck in the face. The male victim was able to retrieve a baseball bat from his car and the suspects, feeling threatened, fled the scene.
The motive for this unprovoked attack is unknown.
The first suspect, armed with the baseball bat, is described as a white male, 20 to 25 years old, 5’11”, 201 lbs, stocky build with a fair complexion (composite sketch).
The second suspect is described as a white male, 23 to 26 years old, 6 feet, 200 lbs, medium build, light complexion.
Both victims have recovered from their injuries and the child was not injured.
