Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your assistance in identifying the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit and run incident.
At approximately noon on January 10, 2007 a 50-year-old female descended from an OC Transpo bus on Craig Henry Drive at Conover Street. As she was crossing in front of the stationary bus, a green Toyota Tercel car, traveling in the same direction, overtook the bus. The car struck the victim and the impact caused her to be thrown several feet away. The diver continued traveling a short distance before stopping his vehicle but he then fled the scene west bound on Craig Henry Drive.
The suspect’s vehicle was an older model dark green Toyota Tercel, license plate number unknown. This type of vehicle was last produced in the year 2000.
The suspect himself is a white male, 50 to 60 years old, grey hair, clean cut and wearing black-rimmed spectacles.
The victim was a foreign national and was obliged to pay $4300 in medical costs. She is slowly recovering from her injuries.
